UCHealth has been the Denver Broncos' healthcare partner for the past eight years. According to a recent report from The Denver Post's Parker Gabriel, that partnership has ended.

That means that UCHealth Training Center will be renamed in the immediate future. The Broncos released a statement on the subject to The Denver Post.

“We want to thank UCHealth for its dedicated support of the Broncos–and our community—as the team’s healthcare partner and training facility naming rights holder since 2015,” the Broncos said in a statement provided to The Post.

Parker writes that the Broncos are close to finalizing a deal with a new healthcare partner. For now, and until the new partnership and name are announced, it'll be difficult to resist the urge to type 'UCHealth Training Center' when referencing the setting for the Broncos' offseason training program and other team events.

Such corporate partnerships are under the purview of the Broncos' business executives, namely CEO Greg Penner and President Damani Leech. On the football side (which is why we're all here), the Broncos are led by GM George Paton and new head coach Sean Payton, both of whom held court together on Thursday for the team's pre-draft press conference.

As the Broncos inch through Phase 1 of OTAs, which has been strictly about strength and conditioning amid a media blackout, Paton and Payton are focused on the draft, which kicks off in less than a week. While the Broncos won't be picking until the third round, at least the team gets to break the 2023 draft ice with back-to-back selections.

"When you're picking where we are—the unique thing, which I think we both really like, is that we have back-to-back picks there," Payton said on Thursday alongside Paton. "You've got to be able to be a little bit—I don't want to say reactionary. There are scenarios that fall to you with every round and then every pick. The spray is a little wider if that makes sense."

While Paton acknowledged the difficulty of finding "impact players" in the third round, that's where the Broncos find themselves after trading away multiple first and second-round picks over the past two offseasons to acquire quarterback Russell Wilson and Payton's rights via the New Orleans Saints.

The first round of the 2023 NFL draft kicks off on Thursday, April 27. Day 2, which is when the Broncos will first go on the clock (barring an unforeseen trade-up), will take place Friday evening.
