Neither the team nor the NFL explained the decision to move the start time, though it's speculated that the league wanted a more compelling matchup in the early window, which features a slew of potential snoozers: Colts-Titans, Chargers-Patriots, and Cardinals-Steelers.
Also makes sense that they want all eyeballs on the Eagles-49ers game in that afternoon slot.

So Broncos-Texans is the early marquee matchup, the NFC Championship is the highlight of the late window, and then we see if the Chiefs receivers can catch a pass on SNF https://t.co/MoOPr71MNT
This will be only the tenth-ever meeting between Denver and Houston — the former holding a 6-3 series lead — and the second such battle in as many seasons. The clubs met in Week 2 of 2022; the Broncos won, 16-9, in what's best remembered as The Play Clock Game.
The 2023 edition pits a 5-5 Denver squad currently riding a four-game winning streak versus an upstart 6-4 Texans outfit led by rookie quarterback CJ Stroud, the overwhelming favorite for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Before that takes place, however, the Broncos get a Week 11 home affair with the Cleveland Browns while Houston hosts the Jacksonville Jaguars.
"There’s a lot more great teams ahead of us," quarterback Russell Wilson said after Sunday's victory over Minnesota. "In terms of next week, we play a really great team in Cleveland and we’re going to enjoy this thing together."
