Broncos Defense Must Have an Answer to These Jets Weapons

In this story:
The Denver Broncos defense has been historically bad, and they're getting ready to face off against the New York Jets. There's been a lot made of this game due to Sean Payton's comments before the season started, but the hype has lost its muster.
It's no longer a matchup of Aaron Rodgers vs. Russell Wilson. Both teams are not where they expected, standing at 1-3 where it matters most: the win/loss column.
After relinquishing 70 points to the Miami Dolphins, the Broncos allowed Justin Fields to look like a great quarterback in the NFL. Not only that, but the Chicago Bears offense looked good. The Jets are struggling offensively, but with how the Broncos' defense has been, they'll probably look outstanding.
When looking at the Jets offense, they have some playmakers who can hurt the Broncos. They're no longer keeping Breece Hall on a snap count, as he returned from an injury against the Broncos last season.
Allen Lazard and Garrett Wilson are good receivers and make a dynamic duo. Then there's Tyler Conklin, who has been a solid tight end for the Jets.
If we're being honest, all four of them are the biggest threats for different reasons. However, the Jets offense falls on how quarterback Zach Wilson does, especially with the playmaking weapons they have.
New York doesn't have a lone threat that stands out as the biggest. With the issues the Broncos have had at cornerback, including some poor performances from Patrick Surtain II in the last two games, Lazard and Wilson are both a threat.
Broncos cornerbacks Damarri Mathis has struggled, and Ja'Quan McMillian has become the starting nickel. With how much the Jets have moved around Wilson and Lazard, they will get matched up against all three of them. If Justin Simmons is at all limited in his return from injury, Denver has to cover for Delarrin Turner-Yell when defending these two receivers.
With Conklin, the way Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph has been calling plays is doing a disservice to the linebackers in coverage. That isn't the only issue, as they're being held reading plays long enough to allow tight ends to slip by them.
Then, there are general awareness issues from Alex Singleton and Drew Sanders that factor in. Josey Jewell should play, and his awareness and football IQ will help, but he's also had issues.
As for Hall, the Broncos run defense has been terrible for the last 14 quarters. The only time they looked like a good unit against the run was the start of the Las Vegas Raiders game to start the season. Since then, Denver's run defense has been problematic, and a lot of it falls on the feet of Joseph and how he has called the scheme.
It would be surprising to see the Broncos defense suddenly turn it around. Denver needs Wilson to revert back to what he has been for most of his career.
However, that may not be enough with how the Broncos defense has been and what they allowed Justin Fields to do. This game gives me bad vibes with how the Broncos have struggled, even though they're 1-3 like the Jets, but coming off a win.
