Report: Former Broncos OC Justin Outten Joins Titans' Staff

In this story:
Justin Outten has officially parted ways with the Denver Broncos.
Outten, who spent the 2022 season as Denver's offensive coordinator, was named the Tennessee Titans' running backs coach/run game coordinator, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday.
Formerly a Packers assistant, Outten tagged along with ex-Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett to the Mile High City, though his OC title was in name only as Hackett opted to call his own plays — before eventually ceding those duties to then-quarterbacks coach Klint Kubiak.
Outten was granted play-calling privileges after Hackett was fired in late December and replaced by interim HC Jerry Rosburg, and the much-maligned Broncos offense looked markedly better, totaling 778 scrimmage yards and 54 points over the final two games, including a 31-28, Week 18 upset of the Chargers.
That Outten would go one-and-done in Denver became increasingly likely following the recent hiring of new HC Sean Payton, another offensive-minded, self-play-caller. Payton is reportedly eyeing Saints QBs coach Ronald Curry for the de facto OC position.
Outten is the latest member of the previous cabinet to find work elsewhere this offseason, joining Hackett (Jets), defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero (Panthers), senior defensive assistant Dom Capers (Panthers), RBs coach Tyrone Wheatley (Wayne State), offensive line coach Butch Barry (Dolphins), and offensive quality control coach Ramon Chinyoung (Cowboys).
And there could be more, as Kubiak has drawn heavy interest from the Texans and wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni interviewed for gigs with the Bills and Jets, per Pelissero.
