Where Does The Browns Strength Of Schedule Rank In 2024

The Browns are scheduled to face the AFC West and NFC South next season.

Fresh off of a postseason appearance this past season, the Browns will have a tough road back to the playoffs in 2024.

According to Warren Sharp'Sharp's popular analytics website Sharp Football Analysis, Cleveland has the third most difficult strength of schedule next season. The only teams considered to have harder schedules are the New England Patriots and division rival Pittsburgh Steelers, who are slated to have the most difficult schedule.

Additionally, the Baltimore Ravens have the fourth toughest strength of schedule, coming in one spot after the Browns. That means, according to Sharp's model, three of the four AFC North teams make up three of the four most challenging schedules in 2024. Only the Cincinnati Bengals find themselves outside of that group. They have the sixth easiest schedule.

On top of playing the six annual intra-division contests against an AFC North division that saw every team finish above 500 and three make the playoffs, the Browns schedule also features matchups against the AFC West and NFC South.

2023 playoff teams like the Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys and the back-to-back reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs are all part of the Browns home schedule. The Los Angeles Chargers with new head coach Jim Harbaugh will also come to Cleveland.

The Browns will also play road games against the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Philadelphia Eagles, both of which made the postseason this past January.

The New York Giants will also travel to Northeast Ohio, while the rest of the Browns road schedule consists of the New Orleans Saints, Denver Broncos, Las VegaVegas Raiders and Washington Commanders.

Cleveland will certainly have its work cut out for it in 2024 as it looks to make back-back-to-back-back-to-back playoff appearance for the first time since 1988-89.
