Report: Browns Expected to Survey Trade Market for Veteran Offensive Lineman

The trade deadline is still weeks away, but the trade winds are already swirling in Cleveland.
As 2019 first-round pick, Jedrick Wills continues to struggle for the Browns at left tackle, general manager Andrew Berry may have to consider other options for the key role on their offensive line.
According to a recent report, Berry and the Browns brass will do just that.
Brad Stainbrook of the Orange and Brown Report, shared Tuesday morning that according to a league source, the Browns are expected to gauge the trade market for an experienced offensive lineman.
The social media rumor mill has already linked the Browns to Denver Broncos left tackle Garett Bolles, should they decide to have a fire sale at the NFL trade deadline.
Last week, Berry defended Wills, while noting that the Alabama product would probably admit himself that hasn't played his best football. Berry also claimed that Wills is an "important part of the Browns future," but that type of rhetoric has been used before regarding players that weren't performing to expectation.
Through four weeks, PFF gave Wills a 45.4 overall grade, with 44.0 run blocking grade and a 53.8 pass blocking grade, by far the lowest figures of his career.
"When you’re playing tackle in this league, you’re going to have some moments where the other side gets you," head coach Kevin Stefanski said of Wills play on Monday. "There are some good rushers, as we all know, but he’s going to continue to battle and I think continue to get better.”
Earlier this summer, the Browns picked up the fifth-year option available with Wills' contract. He would be due $14.6 million if he's on the roster in 2024.
