Shoulder injuries have been a dark cloud over the Browns 2023 season. So when star pass rusher Myles Garrett was seen in a sling after the team's loss to Denver on Sunday, sharing that he felt a "pop" in his shoulder, a wave of panic struck the fan base.

Fortunately, head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed on Monday that Garrett had avoided serious injury and was considered day-to-day. That designation can be deceiving though, as Browns fans found out with the way the organization handled Deshaun Watson's shoulder injury earlier this season. The Browns listed Watson as "day-to-day" for several weeks before he made his official return to the field.

In Garrett's case, it's unclear if Cleveland will follow a similar, close-to-the-vest mentality in providing updates on his injury. On Wednesday, Stefanski reemphasized his optimism that the former No. 1 overall pick should be ready for Sunday's clash with the Rams.

"I do [feel good about Myles chances to play], Stefanski stated. "He's not gonna practice today but gotta see how he goes through this week.

It's unclear when exactly Garrett injured his shoulder during the Broncos game. Based on comments from Garrett himself and his teammates, the team captain played most of the first half nursing the ailment.

Garrett, 27, was seen at practice in Los Angeles doing work off on the side. It's worth noting that Wednesday is topically a veteran rest day for Garrett, so it's not abnormal. Reports indicate he wasn't in a sling and had mobility back in his left arm.

The 29-12 loss to Denver marked the first time in five games that Garrett was held without a sack. He currently sits tied for second in the league with the Chargers Khalil Mack for sacks with 13 so far. His counterpart in Pittsburgh, T.J. Watt, and the Vikings Danielle Hunter currently top the league in that category with 13.5.
