Buccaneers 2023 Average Ticket Prices Plummet Following Tom Brady Retirement

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers average ticket prices in 2023 have plummeted following Tom Brady's retirement.

For the last few seasons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers' season ticket holders must have felt like royalty.

Not only did they have the opportunity to watch the greatest quarterback of all-time lead their historically troubled franchise to the postseason in each of those three seasons, but they were also, quite literally, sitting on a gold mine.

Sure, they had to pay a lot more to renew their season ticket orders compared to the years that preceded Brady's arrival, but if they didn't think watching a competitive team was worth it, they had the opportunity to make a killing on the re-sale market.

For more blue-collar fans, like those who like to attend just a couple games each season, the high ticket prices in Tampa surely presented a more frustrating scenario.

But hey, high ticket prices tend to correlate with a good product. And that's exactly what Buccaneers' fans were treated to throughout the majority of the Tom Brady era.

So now that Tom Brady is retired, and several football opinionists expecting the Buccaneers' to be one of the worst teams in the NFL, how will that affect the cost of Bucs' ticket prices for the 2023 season at Raymond James Stadium?

A lot.

According to Darren Rovell, the Buccaneers had the 5th most expensive ticket price in the NFL last season, averaging $359/ticket. This year? third last, with an average ticket price of just $179.

As fans in Tampa are learning firsthand, it's truly mind-blowing just how real the Tom Brady effect is. Not only in terms of expectations for the team in the win/loss column but also in the marketplace for tickets.

But there are still positives that exist amidst the Tom Brady aftermath.

Not only do the Bucs still have a ton of talent on the roster — which is being overlooked on a national media level, and could very likely result in a lot more wins than most are anticipating — but in 2023, the fans in Tampa won't need to pay an arm and a leg just to watch their favorite team play at their home stadium.
