Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wide Receiver Officially Retires
Jesus "Bobo" Wilson only had a cup of coffee in the NFL. But despite his modest production in the league, he still managed to make a name for himself in Tampa Bay.
Undrafted coming out of Florida State, the former Seminole wide receiver signed with the Bucs as an undrafted free agent in 2017.
Although his time in Tampa Bay mostly involved trips back and forth from the practice squad to the active roster, Bobo still managed to make a name for himself — at least locally — and while trying to carve out a role on the team, he became a player that fans liked to cheer for.

Bobo had some game, too. Although he finished his career with just eight receptions for 105 yards and one touchdown on offense, he provided some exciting moments when he was on the field. In a very limited sample, Wilson proved to be an elusive player who possessed big play ability. He had some really strong performances in the preseason, which had many people — myself included — believing he deserved a role on the team.
Bobo brought some juice to the return game as well as he returned both punts and kickoffs for the Buccaneers in 2018 and 2019. His longest kickoff return was for 38 yards.
Despite never making a significant impact at the NFL level, Bobo loved to play ball.
Which is why some of his loyal supporters probably felt something when he made his retirement from the NFL official earlier this week.
There's no denying that Bobo Wilson brought energy and enthusiasm to the Buccaneers when he played. And although his career didn't result in a ton of production at the NFL level, he should still be appreciated for what he brought to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when he was there.
