Todd Bowles Expects Devin White to be Ready for Buccaneers' Training Camp

In this story:
In Tampa, Devin White has been the talk of the town.
Not only has White's offseason trade demand generated a lot of buzz amongst the fanbase and NFL media, but unfortunately, it's also served as a distraction to a Buccaneers team that's in the early stages of finding its identity in the post-Brady era.

Coming off a down season, seeking a big-money contract, and having demanded a trade, there's been a lot of doubt regarding whether or not Devin White would even be in attendance during any of the Buccaneers' offseason training activities.
With mandatory minicamp getting underway this week, it was a pleasant surprise to many when they saw Devin White in attendance.
That said, he wasn't participating in any of the on-field drills.
Which only leads to more questions... Is he hurt? Is he 'holding in' to avoid being fined? What's Devin White's status?
Well, earlier today at the Advent Health Training facility located at One Buccaneer Place, Bucs' head coach, Todd Bowles, provided some answers.
Buccaneers’ HC Todd Bowles says that they’ll evaluate Devin White the next two days and see if he’ll practice on Thursday.

When asked whether or not Devin White was 'holding in', Bowles answered with confidence.
"No it's not a hold-in. We like to see where he is physically. so we don't feel like we can put him out here right now until we test him to do everything. "
When asked whether or not he expected Devin White to practice at all these next couple of days, Bowles was also clear, and even went so far as to declare when we can expect to see White take the field for the Bucs this offseason.
"Not for two days, no. We'll run tests and do all the lifting and running stuff inside. He'll be ready for training camp."
So despite all of the time, energy, discourse, and speculation surrounding Devin White's intentions heading into this 2023 season, it appears to be clear — at least according to his head coach — that White will be participating in training camp when it rolls around at some point next month.
