According to research by Gambling.com, the Buccaneers led the league in unsportsmanlike penalties in 2022 after being fined for five infractions. The penalties led to $111,128 in fines. The uptick in flags last season means the franchise has picked up nine unsportsmanlike conduct fines in the past five seasons.

That ranks sixth most in the NFL and resulted in a payout of $161,622 for the penalties (third most ).

The five Buccaneers who were fined by the NFL for unsportsmanlike conduct last season included wide receiver Mike Evans ($62,222), linebacker Devin White ($11,139), cornerback Carlton Davis ($13,261), running back Leonard Fournette ($13,367), and quarterback Tom Brady ($11,139).

Four of those fines were levied following Tampa Bay's victory against New Orleans in week 2. Evans was ejected from the game after knocking down Saints' cornerback Marshon Lattimore after a play in the fourth quarter, who had gotten into a shoving match with Fournette. Evans ended up being suspended one game without pay as the Buccaneers came up short the following week against Green Bay.

The Denver Broncos (12), Pittsburgh Steelers (11), Seattle Seahawks (10), Los Angeles Rams (10), and Cleveland Browns (5) rounded out the top five of most unsportsmanlike teams over the past five years.
