While active in the NFL, former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Tom Brady was about winning. Nothing else, just winning. He would go to any extreme to ensure he and his football team could take care of business.

This checks out, as Brady won seven different Super Bowls across his career. This took sacrifices, especially later in his career. He avoided food groups like sugar, caffeine, dairy, and white flour.

In an interview with People, Brady revealed that he has been keeping up with his diet and that it's more of a lifestyle than a challenge.

“I don’t think it’s a strict regimen,” Brady said in the interview. “I think it’s just trying to make healthy choices that allow me to live the life I want to live.”

Just because Brady has retired doesn't mean he has quit any physical activities. With the extra free time, Brady partakes in other physical activities such as pickleball and golf. This comes as no surprise as the 45-year-old is a competitor.

Overall, Brady continues to have a "very active" life, and his diet allows him to continue and live that active life with no repercussions.

However, Brady understands that his body "was an asset" during his playing days.

"It's a little different now," Brady says. Again, he mentioned that the diet isn't strict and it's mainly a lifestyle for him now, and that he's already developed healthy habits and wants to "stick with them."

The 45-year-old spent three seasons with the Buccaneers, and those seasons proved every bit of the quarterback's competitiveness. In his first season with the team, Brady and the Buccaneers won a Super Bowl.

Instead of retiring, Brady continued to return to play because he felt he was amongst the best quarterbacks in the league. Given the circumstances with roster and staff changes, the team never was enough to run it back for another Super Bowl, but Brady's return gave them a chance.
