In this story:

Over the past three seasons, since the arrival of Tom Brady, the Buccaneers' have consistently had one of the top odds to win the upcoming Super Bowl according to oddsmakers around the country.

Now, with Bruce Arians no longer at the helm, Brady heading for retirement, an exhaustive search for a new offensive coordinator, and salary cap issues that are less than ideal, the Buccaneers' odds to win the 2024 Super Bowl seems bleak. For some oddsmakers, they have taken everything into account and do not believe the Bucs have any chance whatsoever to win the Lombardi Trophy in 2024, while others still believe that the Buccaneers can somehow manage to put together a team and staff that can be able to contend not only for the playoffs but for the Super Bowl as well.

Obviously, it is clear that these odds will change as we still have to maneuver through the NFL offseason which will consist of players retiring, free agency, trades, and the NFL Draft. With the number of obstacles the Buccaneers now face, it is hard to imagine them being within the top-ten best teams to have a shot at next season's Super Bowl. There are too many what-ifs and the biggest thing for the Buccaneers is their salary cap situation as they have the second-to-worst situation in the NFL at the moment.

If the Buccaneers' brass can somewhere turn coal into a diamond and turn their issues into magic, then maybe, just maybe they can see their odds improve as they near the start of next season. For now, I highly expect that many oddsmakers have it right by having Tampa Bay as one of the lesser teams to compete for a Super Bowl in 2023-24.
