The Tampa Bay Buccaneers put together a complete game in all three phases in last week's 27-17 victory over the Chicago Bears and a large part of that was due to the outstanding performance that punter Jake Camarda was able to put on - earning him NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

Camarda's punting efforts greatly affected field position in the game, giving the Buccaneers an upper-hand advantage in the contest.

Camarda completed four punts on Sunday, with three of the punts winding up inside the Bears' own 20-yard line - one of which was downed deep in Chicago territory that eventually led to the Shaq Barrett pick-6 late in the game. Even with the impressive three punts pinning Chicago deep in their own territory, it was Camarda's first punt that caught the attention of many as it went an astounding 72-yards but landed in the endzone for touchback, still netting as a 52-yard punt.

Two games into the season, Camarda currently ranks second in the NFL in gross punting average (53.8) and net punting average (48.0). Camarda also ranks third in the league with 5 punts downed inside the 20-yard line.

With the honor, Camarda becomes the only punter in the NFL to have won Special Teams Player of the Week twice since the start of last season - winning the award in Week 9 of 2022 against the Los Angeles Rams.
