Tom Brady Sends Message to Critics About Retiring

In this story:
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have struggled this season. There is no doubt in anyone's mind that that is the case. Sitting at just 8-8 the Bucs barely slipped past the Carolina Panthers last weekend to win the NFC South and clinch a spot as the #4 seed in the NFC playoffs. However rocky, Brady hasn't seemed to take a step back. Even at age 45, Brady leads the NFL in completions and is second in passing yards.
Even with his great play, his critics or haters (some would say), continue to doubt the greatest quarterback of all time and many think that he should have remained retired amid the Buccaneers' struggles this season. However, that doesn't bother THE Tom Brady.

During his Let's Go! podcast, Tom Brady had an important message for those outside of his realm that continue to criticize him for not remaining retired.
“I know people (say), ‘Tom you should’ve retired. You should’ve done this or done that,’” Brady said. “That’s okay. People can have a lot of feelings about those or opinions and so forth. But I think for me, there’s always gratification when you make this commitment and you have a group of individuals that do the same and you see something pay off. That’s what life is about. A lot resilience and overcoming different obstacles over the course of the year and ultimately coming together for a common goal.”
After initially retiring this offseason then not even two months later unretiring it is hard to say what is best for Brady - only he knows. We do know he is still playing at a high level and loves the game he plays, so it isn't a shock that we expect him to be out there. But others do.
Brady continued his podcast on how you have to tune out the outside noise and focus on yourself.
“I learned this awhile ago,” he said on the podcast. “There’s a lot of things that are said outside what’s between your ears. Obviously, what’s between your ears and what you tell yourself is the important thing. I think people said earlier this year, ‘Oh, it doesn’t look like he’s having fun and he doesn’t want to be out there and he doesn’t want to play.’ … What’s between my ears is more important than that.”

One thing is for certain, you can't limit or stop greatness when you want it. The only ones capable of doing that are the best to ever do it, and Tom Brady definitely makes his case as perhaps the best in that department.
