The future of former Arizona WR DeAndre Hopkins continues to be monitored with great interest, as this is the first time in the All-Pro receiver's career where he'll choose a team as a free agent.

Looking to squeeze in one more payday along with fighting for that ever-so-elusive Super Bowl ring, Hopkins indeed has a few interested teams as the summer continues to drag along ahead of training camp.

ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler appeared on SportsCenter and gave an update on Hopkins' future:

"I continue to hear that Hopkins is being patient here and could wait closer to training camp to sign somewhere, see what develops. The Titans and Patriots remain interested," Fowler said.

"I was told there was mutual interest expressed during Hopkins' visit to New England a few weeks ago, and Kansas City is not to be ignored here  - if they can get the Chris Jones extension done, that would free up significant cap space - at which time, pursuing Hopkins would be possible. Maybe there's a chance if he waits for a contender, that opportunity could open."

Hopkins took visits with Tennessee and New England (both have ties to his time with the Houston Texans) weeks ago, yet nothing has come to fruition.

Initially squads such as Kansas City and Buffalo were believed to be favorites, but it's become clear Hopkins is prioritizing financials over a championship.

More info on Hopkins here, including one team that dropped out of the running for him.
