ARIZONA -- It's never too early to be thinking about the future.

The Arizona Cardinals have cap space and draft capital aplenty heading into 2024, and if they played their cards right, the team could be competitive sooner than some believe.

To help, a star-studded receiver for Kyler Murray (or whoever else) would make life easier for Arizona's offense.

Current Las Vegas Raiders receiver Davante Adams is seemingly more out the door by the day, and this offseason could see him moved to a new squad.

Would Adams make sense in Arizona?

Absolutely not, says Bleacher Report, who tabbed the Cardinals as the worst landing spot for Adams' services.

Bleacher Report Says Cardinals are Worst Landing Spot for Davante Adams

"The Arizona Cardinals should be wary about trading for aging receivers after being disappointed by DeAndre Hopkins. The cost to bring Adams in would be similar if not pricier than the second- and fourth-rounders Arizona gave up for Hopkins and it's likely the results would be similar," wrote Alex Kay.

"The Cardinals have too many question marks doting their roster to splurge on a player like Adams regardless. The team doesn't even seem secure under center despite giving Kyler Murray a blockbuster extension prior to last season. Murray had been performing poorly prior to suffering a torn ACL and hasn't looked too great since returning. Rather than hope he improves by mortgaging the future on Adams, the Cardinals should instead draft a blue-chip receiving prospect to develop along during their rebuilding process."

To no surprise, Adams' top spot was the New York Jets to reunite with Aaron Rodgers.

Adams is obviously great in his own regard, but the Cardinals should certainly stick to their rebuild and focus on younger (and cheaper) talent in the coming offseason.
