ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals have just four games left of their 2023 season, and though they're not one of the two teams already mathematically eliminated, the prospects of Jonathan Gannon marching his squad to the postseason are next to zero.

Each week pushes us closer to the offseason, where the Cardinals could thrive with roughly $40 million in cap space on top of the major draft capital that awaits them on draft night, which includes six picks in the first three rounds.

Arizona is currently slated to have two first-round picks - here's where they stand heading into Week 15 (draft order via Tankathon):

Number 3

The Cardinals currently sit behind the Chicago Bears (by way of the 1-12 Carolina Panthers) and New England Patriots, who share the same 3-10 record as Arizona but the Cardinals are beneath due to a stronger strength of schedule.

Monti Ossenfort and co. were helped over the weekend as four previous four-win teams won in Week 14 and pushed themselves slightly ahead of Arizona in draft order. Now, Washington remains the sole four-win team after being on bye with the Cardinals.

There's some chatter about the possibility of Marvin Harrison Jr. going before Arizona at three, though the Cardinals have plenty of holes that can be filled at the top of the draft besides receiver. They'd still be in a strong spot regardless of MHJ is available.

Number 16 (via Houston)

Arizona's trade with the Texans once led many to believe they could garner two top-five picks, though C.J. Stroud and friends have pushed Houston into playoff position, ridding any of that noise for Cardinals fans.

However, the Cardinals still could nab a strong franchise cornerstone in the middle of the draft. Positions such as edge rusher or corner could be evaluated here depending on who is available, of course.

There's still plenty of parity and thus a lot of room for Houston's pick to sway on either side of the spectrum thanks to a cluster of teams with similar records.

The Cardinals face the San Francisco 49ers this week. According to Tankathon, they have the fourth-toughest schedule remaining. Houston is at No. 19.
