Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals had many players that stood out on both sides of the ball in their 28-16 upset over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon, which also happened to be the first victory under the new Monti Ossenfort-Jonathan Gannon regime.

The Cardinals thoroughly outworked the heavily favored Cowboys in the trenches, and seemed to be much more cohesive on both sides of the line of scrimmage. 

Players that weren't mentioned below that deserve props include Michael Wilson, Jalen Thompson, and Joshua Dobbs.

Kyzir White

The Cardinals' starting MLB and captain set the tone for the team throughout the game, totaling 14 tackles, a tackle for loss, and a pass defensed. The first year Cardinal also had the interception in the end zone off of Cowboys QB Dan Prescott that sealed the Big Red's first win of the Gannon era. 

Kei'trel Clark

The sixth-round rookie out of Louisville was tasked with a lot of shadowing on Cowboys star wideout CeeDee Lamb, and did an admirable job in many of those reps. Clark finished with 10 tackles, two passes defensed, and an extremely nice pass breakup in the end zone. 

James Conner

James Conner has very possibly been the MVP of the Arizona Cardinals through three weeks of action. The veteran ran for 98 yards and caught two passes for 18 yards as well. He was the tone setter for the run game that accumulated 222 yards throughout the course of the game.

Rondale Moore

Moore was relatively quiet in the pass game, but had a 45-yard touchdown run that broke the lead over Dallas open. Moore showed off the speed and explosiveness that has captivated football fans since his days at Purdue. Cardinals fans are finally seeing what Moore is capable of when utilized correctly.

Hollywood Brown

Marquise "Hollywood" Brown only accumulated five catches for 61 yards, but had some of the biggest catches of the day for Arizona.

Most will point at his touchdown catch that put the Cardinals up two scores late in the game, but he has multiple first down catches that kept momentum going on key drives. There was potential drama playing out on the field, with some speculating Brown was upset with his usage.

Marquise certainly made the most of the opportunities he was presented in the end, and has been a strong contributor for the scrappy Cards thus far.

Bonus: Cardinals O-Line

Every member of the Cards' offensive line deserves recognition for the strong offensive output against one of the best defenses in the NFL. The line only yielded two sacks against a ferocious pass rush, and opened up massive lanes rep-after-rep which was a large reason why the team ran for 222 yards. The line is composed of two journeymen in Elijah Wilkinson and Hjalte Froholdt, along with rookie Paris Johnson Jr. This group should be highly commended for their contributions to start the new season.
