J.J. Watt Reacts to Aaron Rodgers Injury

In this story:
*UPDATE* Rodgers has been downgraded to out for tonight.
The entire football world is currently tuned in to Monday Night Football to watch Aaron Rodgers’ debut with the New York Jets after a thrilling first week of NFL action.
Rodgers was traded from the Green Bay Packers in the offseason after a Hall of Fame career with the organization. Arriving in New York, there was serious hope of reaching a Super Bowl with the Jets in the near future thanks to both sides of the ball being loaded with talent.
For now, Lombardi dreams are out the window.
On his first drive, Rodgers went down with a lower body injury after being sacked by Leonard Floyd. He tried to walk it off but gently went to the turf and quickly called the medical team over. They were able to get him to the blue tent after carting him off.
Soon, Rodgers went to the locker room where he received x-rays and reportedly had a boot on his left foot according to NFL insider Mike Garafolo. The x-rays reportedly came back negative according to the broadcast.
Former Arizona Cardinals DE J.J. Watt was one of many on Twitter/X to react to the injury.
Man you hate to see that.

Injuries suck.
Need the script writers to throw in a Paul Pierce inspired storyline real quick…

Rodgers reportedly was dealing with a calf injury during training camp. Zach Wilson - who started for New York last season - is currently in for him.
As of the time of publish, the Jets and Buffalo Bills are tied 3-3 early in the second quarter.
Doctors on Twitter/X don't like the prospect of the injury.

Not to scare anyone, but…
It looked like Aaron Rodgers’ left calf trembled, which could indicate Achilles.
He had dealt with a calf strain in camp.
He had to be helped off of the field by trainers.
Let’s just hope I’m wrong here. I would love to be wrong. pic.twitter.com/4qBacEMV6c
Aaron Rodgers injury appears to be either Lisfranc foot injury, ankle sprain or possibly even Achilles. Similar mechanism to JK Dobbins injury Sunday.

Best case is ankle sprain. Will miss several weeks best case. pic.twitter.com/MQFjdPHxCX
