The Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys will be kicking off shortly at State Farm Stadium for Week 2 preseason action.

The Cardinals are hoping to give the Red Sea a show for their only home preseason battle of 2026, though the likes of Jacoby Brissett and other starting players won't be suiting up in Arizona. The same will go for the Cowboys, too.

With majority of backups playing, there's bound to space for eye-opening plays to happen — let's throw out some bold predictions for tonight:

1. Both Teams Score 28+

This is shaping up to be a massive night in terms of offensive production.

The Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys both are capable of putting up points thanks to Mike LaFleur and Brian Schottenheimer. With majority of starters not playing for either side, that can lead to some sloppy defense from the Cardinals and Cowboys, respectively.

The result? Points galore, with two strong offensive minds in LaFleur/Schottenheimer running the show. It's preseason. It's vanilla. We get it — though the execution offensively mixed with poor defense leaves the door wide open for plenty of fireworks.

2. Bam Knight Hits 2 Total TD

The Cardinals have firmly established their intentions (and ability) to run the ball, and run it well. Arizona, especially with Gardner Minshew and Kedon Slovis, will again look towards their bread and butter to keep the chains moving.

Knight's had an incredibly strong camp and has averaged five yards per carry across Arizona's two preseason games — though he's been unable to find the end zone.

With no Jeremiyah Love and likely no Tyler Allgeier or James Conner, Knight figures to get plenty of reps against Dallas. If he receivers similar opportunities, it could be a big night for Knight.

3. Ihmir Smith-Marsette Rips Off Big Return

The Cardinals haven't had a truly electric return game in years, and while that could be the case with Devin Duvernay, it's likely we may not see him tonight.

If we don't, Arizona will deploy Ihmir Smith-Marsette — the backup receiver who is battling for a roster spot and effectively is their No. 2 return man behind Duvernay.

Smith-Marsette is a fast player with long strides, and with opportunities to impact both punt and kick return, he just needs a sliver of daylight to break one loose.

Tonight, we're calling our shot. Smith-Marsette might not house one for a touchdown, but he's a big play waiting to happen.
