Tom Brady 'Not Opposed' to Joining NFC West Team

Tom Brady says he wouldn't mind joining a team out West.

ARIZONA -- When it comes to quarterback play in the NFC West, 2024 appears to be set across the board.

The Los Angeles Rams will again see Matthew Stafford at the helm when training camp rolls around. The Arizona Cardinals have Kyler Murray healthy entering offseason activities while the San Francisco 49ers (Brock Purdy) and Seattle Seahawks (Geno Smith) have their respective passers set in stone for the immediate future, too.

Yet we've always been told to expect the unexpected when it comes to the NFL, and one of the greatest players in league history says there's interest in joining his childhood team, should they come calling.

Tom Brady recently appeared on "DeepCuts with VicBlends" and was posed an interesting question about returning to the NFL, a topic often brought up with the perennial winner since he stepped away from the game a short time ago.

The 49ers, Las Vegas Raiders and New England Patriots are all teams that would interest Brady in a potential return.

"I wouldn't be opposed to it," said the 46-year-old.

Full clip:

"I don't know if they're gonna let me if I become an owner of an NFL team, but I don't know if -- I don't know. I'm always gonna be in good shape, I'll always be able to throw the ball. So to come in for a little bit, like M.J. (Michael Jordan) coming back? I don't know if they'd let me, but I wouldn't be opposed to it," he added.

Brady notoriously grew up as a 49ers fan and hasn't been shy about wanting to play for the organization in the past.

Though it's a stretch given various circumstances, it's potentially on his radar.
