The Kansas City Chiefs' 2023 season is rolling, and so is Andy Reid's team after three consecutive wins following a loss in the opener.

This weekend, Patrick Mahomes and company are in enemy territory for a Week 5 game against the Minnesota Vikings. Kirk Cousins and his team are 1-3 through four weeks, which means the hosts are in desperate need of a second win in a row. The road team is looking to get back on track offensively, however, setting the table for what could be a high-scoring affair in Minneapolis.

Both clubs' injury reports were littered with names throughout the week, and a combined seven players were ruled questionable in advance of Sunday's game. Not many players are lucky enough to be 100% healthy once the schedule is a month-plus underway — injuries could be an underlying storyline in this contest.

With that in mind, ahead of their matchup on the road, the Chiefs' list of inactive players has been released:

  • LB Nick Bolton
  • DE BJ Thompson
  • OL Mike Caliendo
  • DT Matt Dickerson
  • DT Keondre Coburn

To round out the week of practice, the Chiefs saw just two players be limited on Friday. After starting the week limited, cornerback Jaylen Watson (shoulder) progressed to full for Thursday and Friday. Rookie offensive lineman Wanya Morris, who popped up on the report on Thursday with a hip injury that limited him, was a full participant in practice on Friday but carried a questionable designation into Week 5. Defensive tackle Matt Dickerson (knee) and linebacker Nick Bolton (ankle) were also questionable and were limited in the final practice of the week, with neither being able to suit up for Sunday. Both will need a bit more time before being ready to return to play. Morris is good to go.

Elsewhere for the Chiefs, rookie defensive linemen BJ Thompson and Keondre Coburn will miss this weekend's matchup in Minnesota. In addition to them, backup interior offensive lineman Mike Caliendo doesn't make it through the game day cut. He'll be inactive for Week 5.

The Vikings' inactives have also been released:

  • S Lewis Cine
  • QB Nick Mullens
  • TE Nick Muse
  • OLB Andre Carter II
  • OT Hakeem Adeniji
  • DL Khyiris Tonga

On Friday, Minnesota listed four players as questionable for Sunday's game. Linebacker Brian Asamoah (toe), safety Lewis Cine (hamstring), linebacker Marcus Davenport (ankle) and quarterback Nick Mullens (back) made up the list, with all but Davenport being limited participants in the final practice of the week. Of those four, only Asamoah and Davenport will be active in Week 5. Cine and Mullens will get at least one more game's worth of rest.
