Andrew Moore of Horseshoe Huddle says, “Another WR also hitting the Colts practice squad. Miller brings speed to the group and had some success with the Bears.”
Miller may not be an immediately recognizable name, but he’s got five years of NFL experience under his belt and, as Moore posted, had success early in his career when with the Bears.
From 2018 through 2020, the former Memphis Tiger would compile 134 catches for 1,564 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. After being traded to the Texans in 2021, Miller would fall hard in production, only catching 6 more passes in his career to date.
Given that wide receiver Amari Rodgers was recently moved up to the active roster, this signing of Miller to the practice squad makes sense. It also brings a nice veteran presence to the team that a player like Miller can provide.
Also, Miller has had some good years in the league and may surprise if he can generate enough momentum upon this signing, taking full advantage of the opportunity to potentially make some noise again in the NFL.
