Seven Colts Make All-AFC South Team

Indianapolis Colts All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson among five unanimous selections for All-AFC South Team, as chosen by four editors of each team’s Sports Illustrated-powered site.

The All-AFC South Team starts with five unanimous selections by the four editors of the Sports Illustrated-powered sites on the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tennessee Titans.

Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, Titans running back Derrick Henry, Colts offensive guard Quenton Nelson, Titans safety Kevin Byard, and Jaguars kicker Josh Lambo received the maximum four votes for the inaugural team, which was announced on Monday.

Nelson was deservedly an obvious choice. He’s been an All-Pro in each of his two seasons and is considered among the NFL’s best players.

Six other Colts joined Nelson — wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, tight end Jack Doyle, center Ryan Kelly, defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, linebacker Darius Leonard, and slot cornerback Kenny Moore II. The only player who hasn’t been selected either All-Pro or to the Pro Bowl from that list is Moore.

The Titans had the most player selections with eight. The Texans and Jaguars each had five.
