Adrian Peterson "We're all ready to take a knee together."

Adrian Peterson hosted a charity event in Houston, Texas Friday at the facility he owns with Trent Williams and issued a loud statement.
Adrian Peterson @AdrianPeterson said he plans to kneel during the anthem: 'Years ago, seeing (Colin) Kaepernick taking a knee, now we're all ready to take a knee together going into this season without a doubt.' Asked if he will take a knee: 'Without a doubt, without a doubt'

Peterson and rookie Chase Young have been the most outspoken so far among Redskins players regarding the crisis. Dwayne Haskins has not said much on the issue.
Here's a quick "Locked on Redskins" audio report of the breaking news.
During media availability, Peterson expressed his frustration with New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees.
Adrian Peterson on Drew Brees' comments 'Drew is not a racist. He should have thought it out' Peterson is giving away food at O Athletik to schools from underserved communities

Peterson was of course moved and angered by the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis last week.

Peterson was asked about a potential fallout if he and many others go through with his promise.
Asked about potential fallout from taking a knee, all time great @AdrianPeterson says with conviction: "Are they going to try to punish us all? If not playing football is going to help us save lives and change things then that's just what it has to be." #NFL

Moments after news came out of Peterson's words, the NFL released this from Commissioner Roger Goodell.
We, the NFL, condemn racism and the systematic oppression of Black People. We, the NFL, admit we were wrong for not listening to NFL players earlier and encourage all to speak out and peacefully protest. We, the NFL, believe Black Lives Matter. #InspireChange pic.twitter.com/ENWQP8A0sv

Clearly, they were working on that before Peterson promised more action but is kind of interesting how this all came to head on a late Friday afternoon, which is considered a "news dump" type of time.
Essentially a delivery of news or information that you want to be swept under the rug.
The event, hosted by Peterson, included Alex Bregman of the Houston Astros was for a very good cause.
We’re creating change and making a difference
