CeeDee Lamb & Micah Parsons' Contracts 'Easy Checks to Write' For Dallas Cowboys?

The Dallas Cowboys remain unmoved with the contract statues of CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons, but NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah says the duo should be easy contracts to get done.

The Dallas Cowboys have made several head-scratching decisions this offseason, all of which point to the organization being "all out" rather than "all-in."

Dak Prescott's future has long been up in the air and even more so now with no contract extension forthcoming, and we have the futures of CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons being thrown into some doubt - all thanks to the Cowboys' own doing.

We have an already turbulent offseason about to hit hyperdrive with Dallas' three best players all having their futures questioned. While there is some validity to Prescott due to his inability to get it done in the playoffs, when it comes to CeeDee and Micah, surely the franchise wants them long-term...right?

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah thinks that the Cowboys sorting out the futures of Lamb and Parsons should be an easy thing to do.

“When you think about guys like CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons, they’ve kind of done everything they need to do [to get a new contract],” Jeremiah said on NFL Total Access. “Like those should be easy checks to write, but this seems to be the way they’re going, which is hey we’re going to hold off on all business and let's go see what this team looks like this year with a bunch of very hungry players.”

For most, getting Lamb and Parsons to sign long-term deals seems "easy," but nothing about how the Cowboys are conducting their business points to be easy with negotiations.

With Jerry Jones' comments regarding Lamb and that the franchise has to figure out if paying Lamb $30m APY is advantageous or whether having five players on $6m APY is, that kind of thought process isn't what fans want to hear from a team's owner about perhaps their best offensive player.

But here we are with no one really sure about what the Cowboys' true plans are, although the "blow it up" thought from our own Mike Fisher seems to be coming closer to fruition with each passing day.

Dallas was on the cusp of having a proper Super Bowl-caliber roster after last season and now due to the odd workings of the front office, have placed themselves back into the chasing pack - instead of being the ones who lead it.

Prescott's contract situation already has the fanbase uneasy regarding what the future beyond 2024 looks like, and if we add Lamb and Parsons to that mix, too, that dark cloud hanging over The Star is growing larger by the day.

It wouldn't be a Cowboys offseason without some form of controversy, but it feels like Jerry and Co. have outdone themselves this time, thanks mainly to their own doing.
