Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb has more than earned the NFL's respect after establishing himself as one of the league's most dangerous offensive weapons during his short time as a pro.

But one could argue that the ratings creators for EA's Madden 24 might not share the respect that's expected, at least to an extent.

Player ratings for the latest installment of the all-time classic video franchise were recently released, and Lamb was given a 90 overall. While this seems reasonable considering the highest a player can have is a 99, this pinned Lamb as tied for the 10th-best receiver in the league, per the ratings.

Fans on Twitter - Cowboys faithful or not - let it be known that Lamb's rating should be higher.

"I’m not even a cowboys fan. But there shouldn’t be 10 wide receivers rated higher than Ceedee Lamb in Madden," one Twitter user wrote.

"They have CeeDee Lamb as a 90 overall to start Madden 24, get real," another user tweeted.

"So Cowboys CeeDee Lamb isn’t a Top 10 WR... According to Madden," tweeted Law Nation Sports.

Lamb's 90 overall rating comes after a season that saw him finish tied for fifth in catches (107), fourth in targets (156) and sixth in receiving yards (1,359).

These are all top-10 numbers, as it's up for debate that many receivers placed ahead of him were ranked incorrectly or that Lamb was simply overlooked. While still talented, guys like Washington Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin and Cleveland Browns receiver Amari Cooper were ranked ahead of Lamb with ratings of 92 and 91, respectively,

Of course, Madden ratings fluctuate throughout the season based on player performance. Lamb is certainly capable of showing he's worthy of a ratings boost, but that doesn't mean his season-opening number of 90 overall is correct.
