'No More Playoff Scars!' Dallas Cowboys CeeDee Lamb Reveals Mindset for Green Bay Packers

The Dallas Cowboys have again positioned themselves well for a deep playoff run, and after back-to-back sour exits, CeeDee Lamb has no intention of feeling that way again.

The Dallas Cowboys are about to begin their third consecutive playoff campaign under Mike McCarthy and will welcome the Green Bay Packers to AT&T Stadium.

While the Cowboys come into Sunday's game in good form, winning their last two games, the scars of what the San Francisco 49ers did to the team in back-to-back seasons are still front of mind.

But that was a different team, and with another year of experience, CeeDee Lamb isn't interested in comparing this year's team to previous ones.

“I feel like we have a lot of guys that's also been on the team for quite some time,'' Lamb said, "and we all went through the same scars ...

"And we are not trying to feel that again.”

Given the current playoff path, Dallas likely wouldn't face their "kryptonite" in the 49ers until the NFC Championship game, assuming both teams win their respective games.

But the chance that has been presented to Dallas to at least make the franchise's first NFC Championship since 1995 is one that simply is too good to pass up.

With fans desperate to end the "30-year drought" talk that plagues Cowboy Nation, Lamb says that no one wants that more than the players.

“There's no way they [fans] want a Super Bowl more than we do, that's really how I feel about it,” Lamb said. “Granted, we have a lot of fans that's been very loyal, and shout out to them for that, but we put the work in since the end of July, so understanding the situation that we have in front of us and the opportunity to be great and to be destined yeah man it's fulfilling, but we got to we got to we got to go do it.”

With Dallas coming into the playoffs on a two-game winning streak and Green Bay winning three on the bounce, both are in good form.

But the Packers are inexperienced, while the Cowboys have the past two seasons' failures to lean on, and Lamb does not intend to add more playoff scars to his memory bank.
