Cowboys Drafting Georgia's Nolan Smith? How Pass-Rusher Fits in Dallas

In this story:
Could the Dallas Cowboys add an edge rusher with their No. 26 overall pick in April's NFL Draft?
We know what you're thinking; why would they do that? After all, a major strength of the Cowboys defense was their pass rush in 2022, so why not add at a position of weakness like cornerback or wide receiver?
It is a valid question, but at the same time, improvements can still be made in the front seven. One of those improvements is the run defense. It may not hurt to add another pass-rusher alongside Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence, which is what many in the media are beginning to think Nolan Smith could be if on the board at No. 26.
Yall need to stop playing and start mocking Nolan Smith to 26

I really appreciate when a draft prospect has such obviously freaky ability that even my dumb ass only needs to see about 6-8 snaps to figure it out.

this is a Nolan Smith tweet.
Smith, an edge rusher out of the University of Georgia, didn't quite live up to the expectations set upon him coming out of high school as the No. 1 ranked player in the 2019 recruiting class, but that probably won't deter anyone's interest.
Through four years in Athens, Smith showed a skillset that could equate to NFL success. For one thing: Despite his smaller frame at 6-foot-3, Smith was good at setting the edge against the run.
Meanwhile, though there are some definite downsides to being a smaller edge rusher, there are ways to make up for that ... which Smith shows on tape. His bend coming off the edge, combined with his quickness, allowed him to win against tackles.
Smith's 11.5 career sacks may not be too enticing, but we believe there is more to a prospect like him than what the stat sheet says. ... and we know that Dallas is always in the business of collecting pass-rushers, regardless of whether the Cowboys appear to "need'' one.
