FRISCO - NFL star and former Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was present at a bar in the neighborhood of The Star in Frisco over the weekend when a violent fight broke out - with Frisco Police telling TMZ Sports that they they are investigating exactly who was involved in the altercation.

TMZ and other outlets have suggested that the conflict involved Elliott in the sense that his "crew'' or "entourage'' - their words - is behind the fight. On the video shot by a patron, however, there is no indication that Elliott has anything to do with any problem.

Cowboys - Ezekiel Elliott

According to police documents gathered by CowboysSI.com, the disturbance happened at around 1 a.m. at Concrete Cowboy -- a nightclub located right across the street from where the Cowboys are headquarters. We've also learned that no arrests were made.

Video shot by a patron at the establishment shows that as Elliott was in conversation with a woman, several people in another part of a large room got into a brawl. ... in which punches are thrown.

In the video, you can see that Elliott, with his back to the conflict, at one point turns around - apparently in response to the racket - before returning to his conversation.

Per TMZ: "Officers wrote in an incident report that 'a male and a female were physically assaulted by a large group of males' in the fracas. An FPD spokesperson added in a statement that witnesses alleged "members of Elliott's group may have been involved."

We believe that might be accurate ... which would make Elliott "involved'' in a peripheral way. Among the questions that investigators might ask: Was Elliott joined by a bodyguard/friend that night, and if so, was the bodyguard/friend involved in a scuffle of any sort.

Elliott, the two-time NFL rushing champion during his time with the Cowboys, was released by the team a year ago and eventually signed with the New England Patriots. He's back home now - his house is just minutes from The Star.
