Mallepalle had been a Player Personnel Analyst with the Ravens since 2019.
For the last four seasons, Mallepalle has been a player personnel analyst for the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens have been very analytically-savvy in that time, and have been one of the better teams in the league with a 43-23 record and three postseason appearances. While not in charge of the Ravens' analytics department, she was still a key resource and should be a key addition in Dallas.
Prior to joining the Ravens, Mallepalle was a research and development intern for MLB's Philadelphia Phillies in the summer of 2019. According to her LinkedIn page, she graduated from Carnegie Melon University in 2018.
Mallepalle is the second big addition the Cowboys have made to their analytics department in recent weeks. On June 7, they hired John Park as their director of strategic football operations. Park was previously the Director of Football Research with the Indianapolis Colts, a position he worked his way up to over seven years with the organization. He takes over the role from Tom Robinson, who had held it for over a decade but parted ways with the Cowboys before the draft.

Park was the Director of Football Research with the Colts. He had been with Indianapolis since 2016.
Head coach Mike McCarthy has valued analytics throughout his time in Dallas - a bit of a change from his Packers days - but the hiring of Mallepalle and Park indicates a greater emphasis this year. With the Cowboys looking to finally get over the hump in the playoffs, perhaps a greater analytical edge is what they need.
