Cowboys' Micah Parsons Starstruck at Super Bowl by ... Urkel?!

The stars of the modern NFL paled in comparison to a childhood hero for the Dallas Cowboys' superstar Micah Parsons.

One would hope that Micah Parsons is used to dealing with stars, considering he wears two on his helmet every autumn Sunday. One in particular, however, rendered the normally formidable Dallas Cowboys defensive threat awestruck.

Parsons recounted his time in the Super Bowl's social scene in a recent interview with KTCK-AM. While Parsons was seen mingling with some of the game's most renowned stars, such as Buffalo Bills defender Von Miller, it was perhaps the furthest figure from football that truly made him truly smile.

"When I see Von Miller (I'm) like, ‘Oh, that’s cool.’ But no one got me more excited than when I met Steve Urkel," Parsons recalled, referring to actor Jaleel White, who portrayed the nerdy, comical Urkel on the ABC/CBS sitcom "Family Matters" for nine seasons. The lauded pass rusher claimed to have met White at a party hosted by sports apparel company Fanatics at last year's championship festivities in Los Angeles.

Upon meeting his childhood hero, Parsons couldn't help but recite Urkel's often-imitated catchphrase back to White.

"I saw some pretty famous people, but when I tell you I saw Steve Urkel, I just dropped everything. I started impersonating him," Parsons said. "Of course, I walked up to him and said, “Did I do that?”

Parsons was one of the many stars gathered in Arizona for the Big Game festivities, his rooting interests creating a slight social media controversy as the Philadelphia Eagles battled the Kansas City Chiefs. While Parsons has built a reputation as one of the NFL's most noticeable players both on and off the field, he's hoping to be back at the championship festivities soon enough, albeit as part of the main event rather than simply the accompanying parties.

If anything, both Super Bowl LVIII and its social scene should be particularly intriguing considering it'll be the first edition held in Las Vegas. Parsons and the Cowboys will be seeking to end a Super Bowl appearance nearing three decades, their last being a victorious trip over Pittsburgh in the 30th game in Tempe, AZ.
