Super Bowl Odds: Dak's Cowboys Among Early Favorites - Over Hurts' Eagles?

Will the Dallas Cowboys avoid a three-decade Super Bowl drought? Early odds are in.

The Dallas Cowboys spent Super Bowl Sunday watching the confetti fall on another team for the 29th consecutive year.

This time, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes found receiver MeCole Hardman uncovered in the endzone, stealing a 25-22 overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers inside Allegiant Stadium.

Could next year finally be the year of the Cowboys? Can America's Team break through?

Early odds for next season's Super Bowl give Dallas a fair shot, as it ranks No. 7 at +1600, per ESPN BET.

The 49ers and Chiefs are, unsurprisingly, the favorites to back on the game's biggest stage, coming in at +550 and +700, respectively.

The Baltimore Ravens (+850), Buffalo Bills (+1000), Detroit Lions (+1200) and Cincinnati Bengals (+1300) separate the defending Super Bowl teams from the Cowboys.

Of note, Dallas is No. 3 amongst NFC teams and No. 1 in the NFC East, narrowly trimming the Philadelphia Eagles, who sit at No. 8 with +1800 odds.

While the Cowboys and Eagles are given respectable odds, two other NFC East teams - the New York Giants and Washington Commanders - can't say the same.

The Giants and Commanders are tied with the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans for the second-worst odds at +15000.

The Carolina Panthers have the worst odds with a troubling +25000.

For Dallas, reaching the Super Bowl would first require an appearance in the NFC Championship, which also hasn't happened in 29 years.

The Cowboys have made the postseason three consecutive years under head coach Mike McCarthy, winning 12 games in each campaign - but they're only 1-3 in the playoffs during that span.

McCarthy's entering the final year of his contract. He needs to win - when it really matters most.

And as things stand, the odds he does so are +1600.
