There is no question that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is an accomplished and a respected figure despite his brief time in the NFL. And he has had quite the start to 2023, given that in February, he led the Eagles to Super Bowl LVII, finished second in the NFL Most Valuable Player voting for the season (behind Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes) signed a five-year contract extension with the Eagles that makes him the highest-paid APY player in NFL history and ...

Now Hurts has just received his master's degree in human relations from the University of Oklahoma.

Hurts walking across that stage in cap and gown generated a great deal of buzz on social media and even prompted Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs to give his opinion on a potential political career for the scholarly Hurts.

"Definitely can see him running for President,'' Diggs wrote.

It is true that the way Hurts carries himself suggests he might possesses the personality and qualities that make him a suitable leader ... of a football team, if not The Free World.

Additionally, given the salary allows to the person in The White House? presidential candidate. Hurts would surely be unselfish in an almost unprecedented way to give up a lucrative $255 million contract as a quarterback to pursue a political career.

Seriously, though, with this recent accomplishment, Hurts has now earned two degrees. In 2018, he completed his bachelor's degree in communication and information sciences from the University of Alabama. After transferring to Oklahoma for his graduate season in 2019, Hurts threw for 3,851 yards and 32 touchdowns while rushing for 1,298 yards and 20 touchdowns on the ground.

Hurts has proven himself as a talented quarterback on the field and demonstrated his unwavering determination as a committed student. But President of the United States? That'll have to wait, in part because he's only 26 years old - nine years shy of being able to actually run for the office.
