'My Car's On Fire!' Potential Cowboys RB Leonard Fournette Survives Freak Accident

The Dallas Cowboys have had rumored interest in veteran running back Leonard Fournette, but a car mishap that ended in flames could've derailed his future.

Potential Dallas Cowboys target and former Pro Bowler, Leonard Fournette's car caught on fire on Tuesday morning, as he revealed on his Instagram.

"Man it was one of those days today, but I would like to thank God, my car caught on fire while I was driving, But I am still blessed," Fournette captioned a video of his vehicle in flames.

Fournette requested to be released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following the retirement of Tom Brady and has since been stuck in NFL free agency limbo as the market has been surprisingly hesitant to sign the talented veteran rusher.

Since hitting free agency, the Cowboys have been rumored as a potential landing spot, especially following the release of Ezekiel Elliott.

Throughout his career, the big-bodied Fournette has amassed over 6,500 total yards from scrimmage while rushing for four yards per carry. His presence alongside Tony Pollard could make for a devastating 1-2 punch in the Dallas backfield.

Though Fournette faced dangerous circumstances on Tuesday in his car, escaping the flames uninjured means that his career still hopes to heat back up in a positive way.

The talented running back rejuvenated his career when he joined Tampa Bay in 2020 and became "Playoff Lenny'' en route to the Buccaneers winning the Super Bowl.

If a change of scenery is all Fournette needs to return to his powerful style of rushing the football again, the Cowboys would be wise to add him as soon as possible. Whether Fournette touts the Dallas star on his helmet or plays for another team remains to be seen as we sit just a few weeks from training camp. But at least he's safe and ready to go.
