Cowboys Injury Report: Good participation for Amari & Xavier; DNP for Zack Martin

FRISCO - Based on what I've seen and based on what I've been told, there isn't much to worry about as it regards the presence of Amari Cooper and Xavier Woods listed as "limited'' on Thursday's Dallas Cowboys practice report. Zack Martin? Now that one, we're going to need to check on.
Dallas is 3-0 and on the road against the New Orleans Saints this week on Sunday Night Football and as always, you'd love to have all hands on deck here. As I've reported for almost two weeks now, Xavier Woods' ankle is not nearly as concerning as the worrywarts would have it. I'm told that on Wednesday he worked close to fully as a second-team safety (despite being listed as "limited'') and I know on Thursday he did some work at full-speed - as I saw that myself.
I also know that Amari Cooper, who underwent an MRI that essentially kept him out of Wednesday work, was on the field on Thursday from start to finish. I know he did first-team stuff at a sort of walk-through pace, then sat out the full-speed route-running drills, but remained with the team inside the Ford Center for the entirety of the session. Good news.
As assortment of other guys -- Tavon Austin, Kavon Frazier and Luke Gifford -- also earned a "limited'' tag on Thursday.

But the All-Pro guard Martin being officially listed as a DNP? My understanding is that this is likely a matter of "maintenance'' for Martin, who has been managing some disk irritation since training camp.
I believe by Friday, Woods and Cooper will be off the in-house list of concerns for Sunday. I think Antwaun Woods and Tyrone Crawford will remain there. And regarding Zack Martin, we'll do the "monitoring'' while the training staff of Jim Maurer and Britt Brown and company oversee the "maintenance.''
