What's MVP Talk Mean to Dallas Cowboys' Dak Prescott? Focus is on Buffalo Bills

In this story:
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is playing arguably the best football of his career over the last eight games and has catapulted himself into the MVP conversation.
But the "conversation'' isn't one Dak seems too keen on having.
Prescott's numbers during this run have soared as he has thrown for 2,444 yards, 23 touchdowns, two interceptions, is averaging 305 yards per game, and has a 118.5 rating.
But when the topic of being the leading candidate for the NFL's MVP award was brought up, Prescott had the most "Dak" answer possible.
It means, he said, “That this team (is) doing the right thing, we're winning games first and foremost. ... What I play for is at the end of the year (being) one of the last teams, and being the last team standing.
"But obviously, if my name’s in those talks, then we're putting ourselves in the right spot. So, for me, it's about continue do whatever I can to put this team in the best position, and just win games and the rest will take care of itself.”
The Cowboys, since that Week 5 debacle against the San Francisco 49ers, have flipped the script in a big way as they are 7-1. But while the team on the field is playing lights-out, that doesn't happen unless everyone is pulling in the same direction off it.
“Guys expect to do everything that we're doing right now,” Prescott said. “It's about just staying at that level, not getting complacent, continuing to push one another, continuing to compete at practice.
"The camaraderie, the brotherhood, the goofiness, but being able to flip that switch, lock in be accountable to one another, and play at a high level - (that) is what's special about that group.”
The next step for the MVP leader and this "goofy" group is a daunting trip to Buffalo to face Josh Allen and a resurgent Bills team.
Cowboys at Bills Preview: Can Dallas Force Josh Allen Turnovers?
With the Sunday weather forecast resembling a yo-yo, it is anyone's guess as to what the conditions will be like come kickoff, but the Cowboys have been doing drills this week to help get used to what might be waiting for them in Buffalo.
And with succcess? Dak Prescott's name will stay in a "conversation'' he's not all that interested in having.
