NFL Combine 'Loser': Jordan Addison Falling to Cowboys at No. 26?

In this story:
USC wide receiver Jordan Addison looked likely to become the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2023 NFL Draft class after winning the Biletnikoff Award in 2021 at Pitt.
But, even after leading the Trojans in receiving after transferring, a disappointing performance at the NFL Scouting Combine could have him dropping down the board.
For a wide receiver-needy team like the Dallas Cowboys, Addison certainly is a prospect to look into. Addison made a name for himself at Pitt, then at USC, as a wide-out who could play on the outside, despite his 5-foot-11, 173-pound frame.
His 3,134 yards and 29 touchdowns in three seasons is undoubtedly impressive. But his 4.49 forty-yard dash and 34-inch vertical seem to have been underwhelming. ... and size-wise, he certainly does not fit the Dallas mold.
Before his on-field workout in Indianapolis, Addison revealed that he met with the Cowboys and even shared what he thought he'd bring to Dallas if they chose him, saying he wouldn't allow defenses to "key in on one guy" and giving them another good route runner.
Addison's assessment seems fair; if defenses took away or limited the production of CeeDee Lamb, it would leave quarterback Dak Prescott and the Dallas passing game bereft of other options.
Indeed, our guy Dane Brugler thinks he reminds of Stefon Diggs and projects him going to the Giants at No. 25. So the range is right.
Addison would give the Cowboys another versatile receiver who could play inside or out. ... though the lack of size is going to be a major discussion item as Dallas builds its board.
But now? It seems he is more likely to be available at the Cowboys' No. 26 overall pick than he was before the Combine.
