Cowboys, Micah Parsons Fight: 'We Want to Hurt Each Other!' - Shady McCoy

In this story:
LeSean McCoy loves to see the Dallas Cowboys fighting ... but not for the reason you'd think.
Well-known for his days as the Philadelphia Eagles' top rusher, McCoy has carried on a dislike of the Cowboys into his broadcast affairs with Fox Sports. But with some concerned about the excess physicality at Cowboys camp, namely a series of scuffles headlined by linebacker Micah Parsons, McCoy came to the defense of the defender and his co-combatants.

"This is a part of football," McCoy said as a panelist on the Fox Sports 1 debate program "Speak." "You put all these alpha males together, right, put on equipment, and it's a tough man's game. ... We are trying to bang. We want to hurt each other, that's what it is. So, to think that there's not going to be fights is crazy. There is going to be fights!"
McCoy's comments are a somewhat surprising change of pace considering he was ready to shut down the Dak Prescott era after the franchise quarterback engaged in some verbal extracurriculars with defender Trevon Diggs earlier this summer. Perhaps Parsons earns a literal hometown discount/benefit of the doubt thanks to their shared origin point, the capital of Pennsylvania.
"That boy is from Harrisburg, PA," McCoy says with a smile. "That’s how we get down.”
Parsons and the Cowboys will get a chance to beat up on guys in different helmets on Saturday night as they head to the Pacific Northwest to do battle with the Seattle Seahawks (9 p.m. CT, KTVT/NFL Network).
