Cowboys Idea: Play Deuce Vaughn - And Sign Leonard Fournette?

In this story:
It's official. Deuce Vaughn-Mania has hit us right between the eyes as the Dallas Cowboys running back showed his talents in the 28-23 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday night at AT&T Stadium. Of course, coach Mike McCarthy already knew this, stating prior to the game that Deuce was "Pro-ready."
So ... does that mean the Dallas running backs room is regular-season-ready?
With many doubting exactly what Deuce could bring to the Cowboys' offense, well, those doubts were extinguished, and boy, it was fun to watch. Vaughn would end his preseason debut with eight carries for 50 yards and a touchdown ... and to our thinking, that should end the speculation that Dallas needs to add another back.
Obviously, as we've reported all season, the idea was to develop the kids in order to not re-sign Ezekiel Elliott, who is now joining the Patriots. Same goes for signing someone like Leonard Fournette, though the national media is still floating that notion.

A big and experienced back like "Playoff Lenny''? Instead of Deuce (who is neither)? We don't think the Cowboys see their needs that way.
“The way he played in the game looked like he played at K State,” McCarthy said. “Obviously, his talent speaks for itself, but the way he approaches it, he’s the same every day. He’s a very level personality, nothing's too big for him, [he’s] very bright, instinctive, very aware, knows who he is, and he knows how to use his skills. I thought he looked very comfortable out there.”
Fournette at 6-0 is seven inches taller than Deuce, and his usual playing weight of 230 is 55 pounds heavier than Deuce's. (We won't bring up the times when Fournette has shown up to camp as heavy as 260.)
Deuce stole the show against the Jaguars as his run that left three defenders in his wake is doing the rounds on social media ... but it is also cementing Vaughn's position somewhere on this team, with the other contenders for the backup running back job, a group led by Rico Dowdle and Malik Davis, chasing him. ...
And the Cowboys, as near as we can tell, not feeling the need to chase Leonard Fournette.
