Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts Caused 'Trouble' vs. Buffalo Bills Despite Slow Start

The Philadelphia Eagles pulled off an overtime win over the Buffalo Bills and opposing coach Sean McDermott praised quarterback Jalen Hurts after the game.

The Philadelphia Eagles (10-1) are a team every opponent knows is going to go the distance against them.

It's no surprise then that given the chance to beat the Buffalo Bills (6-6) in overtime at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, the Eagles came through and pulled off a 37-34 win.

Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts ran into the endzone from 12 yards out to answer the Bills' overtime field goal with a game-ending touchdown.

It was just one of the things Hurts did to help lead his team to victory.

"In the second half, they hit a couple of runs. You know, they went to the run game more back there...and then it became the two-dimensional-type of game again," Buffalo coach Sean McDermott said following the game. "Hurts made a number of plays with his feet, more so in the second half than he did in the first half ... he got out a few times and made some trouble with his feet."

Hurts finished the game with just 200 yards passing, but he also threw three touchdown passes - all in the second half - and ran two of them in himself including the game-winner.

To McDermott's point, Hurts had just 33 yards passing in the first half and had thrown an interception leading to a quarterback rating of just seven while completing less than 40 percent of his passes.

He also ran the ball seven times in the first half gaining 22 yards in the process and scoring once from one yard out.

The Eagles quarterback was much more impactful in the second half, however, and tallied 210 yards of total offense and four touchdowns in the final 38 minutes of the game.

He 'made some trouble' for Buffalo, which now now faces trouble of its own. The Bills sit outside the playoff picture in 10th place in the AFC.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia has its talons wrapped around the No. 1 seed in the NFC with a two-game lead over the second-place San Francisco 49ers with six left to play and a clash between the two coming up on Sunday.
