Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper and running back Devonta Freeman are officially inactive for Sunday's Week 11 matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

However, cornerback Desmond Trufant will return for his first game since Oct. 6.

Hooper and Freeman are dealing with knee and foot injuries, respectively, and could be sidelined multiple weeks. Both left during the matchup with the Saints last Sunday.

The absence of both playmakers leaves a pretty big hole on the Falcons offense. Hooper is first in several statistical categories among tight ends. Freeman and Hooper together combine to average more than 12 catches per game.

With Freeman out, rookie running back Qadree Ollison will be active for the first time this season. Brian Hill will start at running back while the Falcons will also have returner Kenjon Barner that they can use in the backfield.

Without Freeman, Luke Stocker is expected to start at tight end, but Jaeden Graham could also see more snaps on offense.

Safety Kemal Ishmael and defensive end John Comisky joined Freeman and Hooper on the inactive list for Week 11. Ishmael is dealing with a concussion while Cominsky has an ankle injury.

However, the Falcons will get back Trufant, who has been out for four straight games because of a toe injury.

Brandon Powell, WR
