Giants vs Jets: How to Watch, Odds, History and More

The New York Giants conclude their 2023 preseason schedule this week at home against the New York Jets.

The annual New York Giants - New York Jets preseason game is finally here! After an offseason filled with speculation and excitement for both sides, New York is buzzing with the idea that football is back.

The Giants are coming off a 21-19 win over the Carolina Panthers last week, where multiple rookies showed up. Cornerbacks Deonte Banks and Tre Hawkins provided solid coverage on the outside, while defensive lineman Jordon Riley continued his solid play in the run game, and receiver Jalin Hyatt showed off his speed and separation ability on his 33-yard touchdown.

The Jets are coming off a 13-6 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. Earlier this week, it was announced that Aaron Rodgers will be making his preseason debut this week against the Giants. The Giants will now face Rodgers twice this season, in Week 8 and Saturday night. It hasn’t been announced if Giants starters will play, but regardless, it's a good experience to go up against a quarterback of that caliber before the regular season.

Both teams had a major event occur this week as far as personnel. Jets receiver Corey Davis announced his retirement after two seasons in New York, while the Giants acquired linebacker Isaiah Simmons in a trade with the Cardinals.
