Joseph, right now, I can't sit here and tell you what the "proper move" would be for the simple reason that the underclassmen haven't declared yet. I would think, however, if the Giants hold a draft pick in the top three spots, it would be very difficult to pass on a quarterback knowing Daniel Joens's injury history and considering the contract they gave him even after all he did last year included an escape hatch after two seasons.

Pete, I plan to have someone on an upcoming podcast to discuss this topic. I'm not as familiar with what they do behind the scenes or how the sports science department works. It is best I let the guest I've got booked address that question.

Lloyd, I would re-sign him as I think he's a good young talent who was disgruntled this year. I would not be shocked if the Giants let him walk. You can't keep grumbling publicly the way he has and not sour people. Toss in, he hasn't made many impact plays, and I'd be shocked if he's back.

All of them. Why limit it to just one or two groups? Find out what you have across the board, and who knows? Maybe that ends up shaping your plans moving forward.

Ed, I'm sorry, but  I don't engage in over/unders. You either root for the team or you don't--that includes the guys you might not necessarily be a fan of.

(From Harold F.) Why two kickers?

Simple, Harold. Bullock is the proven veteran, and York, a development prospect, is the youngster they will likely keep around as insurance just in case Gano's recovery doesn't progress as hoped.

(From Raymond S.) It looks like the Giants have inadvertently solved a draft-day conundrum: Whether to draft for need or best available player (after quarterback, of course). They need it at every position. There may be only five position players currently on the roster that cannot or should not be upgraded. Am I wrong?

Raymond, let's run down the list to arrive at an answer. They're set with Andrew Thomas, John Michael Schmitz, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Deonte Banks, Bobby Okereke, Micah McFadden, Dexter Lawrence, Jamie Gillan, Jalin Hyatt, Wan'Dale Robinson, Daniel Bellinger, are all likely young cornerstone pieces. But that said, I think every position unit could stand to have an upgrade to its depth.

(From David S.) I am interested in your view on drafting a QB, not because Daniel Jones looked like he regressed, but because we are drafting high and have the chance now. Is it a good idea, since we know for contract reasons DJ will be back, but we can get out of his contract in 2025 to get a QB of the future now and let him watch a year, simply because of the time cycle we find ourselves in?

David, I think the answer is pretty obvious, don't you? I mean, you spelled it all out exactly as I would spell it out--Daniel Jones regressed this year, and he has the injury to go along with that. But you left out that his slow processing time isn't a fit for anan offensive line that's still trying to put its act together.

(From Dan M.) Given the NYG's current standings and injury situation, who do you think will be playing and testing on the current roster to see if there is a place for them next year?

Dan, let's make this easier and identify who's not at risk of losing his roster space next year. That would be Andrew Thomas and Dexter Lawrence. All we need to do is look at the depth chart to see those who haven't played many snaps. That includes free-agents-to-be.
