New York Giants Injury Update: Brightwell, Peart Designated for Return

In this story:
New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll confirmed that the team has opened the 21-day windows for offensive tackle Matt Peart (shoulder) and running back Gary Brightwell (hamstring), both of whom have been on injured reserve.
Both players are now eligible to practice with the team, which has three weeks left in its season. However, it's too soon to say if one or both will be added to the 53-man roster.
Brightwell suffered his injury in Week 7 against the Commanders. Peart was injured in Week 5 against the Dolphins.
Daboll also said that kicker Cade York, who is currently on the team's practice squad, is the option for Monday when the team faces the Philadelphia Eagles. York would replace Randy Bullock, who, per Daboll, is "not doing well" with the hamstring injury he suffered in the first half of last week's game against the Saints.
"He’s done a good job out here, and glad we have him right now. He’s worked hard and glad we got him," Daboll said of York.
Daboll said that York has improved since arriving in East Rutherford.
"He’s got a strong leg. He kicks the ball well and pretty accurately. We've continued to work with him since he's been here," he said. "So, again, it's good, particularly when that happens, to have someone here for you that you're able to hopefully kick for you."
Another player whose status seems iffy =is defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence. Lawrence has been trying to work through a hamstring strain suffered in the team's win over the Commanders in Week 11, an injury that caused him to miss his first-ever career game due to injury the following week when the Giants hit the New England Patriots.
Lawrence has since been able to play on a pitch count the last two games, playing in 29 and 30 defensive snaps over that period (he typically logs about 40+ snaps per game most weeks). He's also been limited in practice since suffering the injury, so we'll see what the rest of the week brings.
Offensive tackle Evan Neal (ankle), who returned to practice last week on a limited basis, was not spotted at practice.
The Giants don't have to file an injury report until Thursday since they play on Monday.
