The New York Giants drafted wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. New York decided to draft Robinson in the second round immediately after picking fifth and seventh overall, respectively, showing how much they believed in the future of the wide receiver from the University of Kentucky.

After tearing his ACL in his rookie season, Robinson returned as a more stable part of the Giants offense in 2023. His 76 targets tied for the team lead with Darius Slayton despite appearing in two fewer games, and he finished with the fourth-highest catch rate (78.9 percent) among the league’s wide receivers (min. 20 percent of targets). The Giants currently have five pending free agents at the position heading into the 2024 offseason, which could allow Robinson to contribute even further in Year 3.

His productive season in his first season back on the field following a significant injury led to him being voted the Giants' breakout candidate for the 2024 season. Robinson has caught the attention of those around the league and fellow teammates.

“He’s a little guy, but he’s got heart,” veteran safety Xavier McKinney said of the 5-foot-8 cornerback who tips the scales at 185 pounds. “The heart of a lion. It’s not surprising to see what he does out there because you see the same every day in practice.”

Head Coach Brian Daboll expressed his feelings earlier in the season on Robinson's performance in his first season following one of the most brutal injuries in sports to return from.

"He’s still working back to full health where he can put his foot in the ground," Daboll said. "You know, I’d say that’s been a work in progress up to this point, just being able to do those things. And I credit him a bunch because he’s fought through. It wasn’t perfect. It’s a tough injury for a guy that uses that quickness and that speed."

"Their job is to make sure that we put them in the spots that they can excel, and their route running, but they have to be able to recognize coverages, break off routes when they're supposed to break 'em off, sit when they're supposed to sit, run away," Daboll said. "He's still a young player, but I think the way he approaches the game, I have a lot of respect for Wan'Dale. I'm glad he's here."
