Doug Marrone on Nick Foles' oblique injury: 'We are not concerned about it.'

Whenever a starting quarterback has his name show up on an injury report, there is going to be attention on the situation. This was the case when Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles found himself on the team's first injury report on Wednesday and then again on Thursday with oblique soreness.
The team said Wednesday's injury report was merely an estimation because of the canceling of practice due to Hurricane Dorian, and Foles is still fully prepared to play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Head coach Doug Marrone said the soreness has been there for a while but the team hasn't had to report it until now.
"He got it during training, but obviously it is much better now than it was before. We are not concerned about it," Marrone said Thursday. "It is just the quarterback, and if you don't put something down and something does happen, all hell breaks loose."
Marrone said Foles' soreness played no factor in the way Foles was handled in the preseason. Foles only appeared once in the preseason, throwing 10 passes against the Miami Dolphins.
"It was planned (that way) the first couple, and then the amount of snaps in the third one was planned," Marrone said.
While the team will monitor Foles moving forward, the injury has yet to have any factor during practice, Marrone said.
"We haven't took reps away or anything."
