Taylor Swift Reportedly Returning to MetLife Stadium on Sunday

Singer-songwriter has interest in Jets' opponent for Sunday Night Football matchup

The last time she was in the building, quarterback Aaron Rodgers's Achilles was intact and New York Jets' fans had Super Bowl hopes.

With a lot having changed since her Eras Tour stopped in East Rutherford from May 26-28, pop music sensation Taylor Swift will reportedly return to MetLife Stadium this Sunday, October 1. This time, however, Swift will be there as a fan and not as  a performer.

Citing an undisclosed source, media outlet Front Office Sports claims Swift will attend the Jets' Sunday Night Football matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. FOS senior writer Michael McCarthy said the "Cruel Summer" singer wants to be there "in person to support Travis Kelce."

Swift and the Chiefs' All-Pro tight end have gone public with their relationship in recent weeks. The Pennsylvania-born musical artist visited Arrowhead Stadium for Kansas City's Week 3 game against the Chicago Bears. The CBS cameras showed her celebratory reaction to Kelce's third-quarter touchdown that made the score 41-0.

If the Zach Wilson vs. Patrick Mahomes quarterback matchup isn't enough reason to tune in, Swift's expected appearance makes Sunday Night Football must-see TV this week.

Making for an even greater dynamic, Rodgers could be in the building as well. The future Hall-of-Fame quarterback appeared on The Pat McAfee Show Tuesday and hinted at possibly attending Sunday's game against the reigning Super Bowl champions.

"You never know who you're gonna see at the game," said Rodgers, who urged Jets' fans to show up in full force.

Admittedly a "big fan" of Swift, Rodgers watched the pop star perform during Memorial Day Weekend at MetLife Stadium. An Instagram video showed the four-time NFL MVP jamming out to "Shake It Off." As confetti fell with the show nearing an end, Rodgers was seen on video basking in the championship feeling, exclaiming the "Jets have won the Super Bowl.”

Will Swift and Rodgers be in the same building again this Sunday night? We'll find out at 8:20 pm ET on NBC.
