On Monday, the National Football League confirmed the speculation surrounding its impending 2023 schedule announcement.

"...the 2023 NFL Schedule powered by AWS will be released on NFL Network, NFL.com, the NFL app and NFL+ on Thursday, May 11 at 8:00 PM ET," said the NFL through a May 8 news release.

The burning question for the New York Jets is how many primetime exposures will the team receive? The arrival of Aaron Rodgers, combined with the power of the New York media market, makes Gang Green a prime candidate for the League to feature in multiple standalone windows.

A television network source has told Jets Country to expect a Week 1 Monday Night Football appearance for the Green & White. The Jets will reportedly face the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on the 22nd anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Gang Green is likely to earn at least four primetime appearances and can easily justify receiving the maximum allotment (5). The League will prominently feature one of the Jets-Bills divisional battles, according to our source.

"As such, obviously, they [the Jets] play the Bills twice, they've got an incredible schedule this year. They play Kansas City, they play Dallas, they play Philly," said NFL VP of Broadcasting Mike North during an appearance on Audacy's "It's Always Gameday in Buffalo" podcast.

The League's annual scheduling rotation has the Jets matched up against the entire AFC West and the NFC East in 2023, meaning the Green & White will face both Super Bowl LVII participants (Kansas City, Philadelphia).

In other non-divisional games, Gang Green will face the Cleveland Browns (fourth place in AFC North), the Houston Texans (fourth place in AFC South) and the Atlanta Falcons (fourth place in NFC South).

NFL Network's May 11 coverage will be highlighted by Schedule Release '23 presented by Verizon at 8:00 PM ET. Rich Eisen and Colleen Wolfe host the three-hour show, joined by analysts Maurice Jones-Drew and Emmanuel Sanders.

The NFL will unveil bits of the schedule prior to the Thursday primetime show, doing so through its network partners.

Here is the plan outlined in the League's press release:
